BIKE TOURS ITINERARIES

To keep the body-fit also during the holiday time.

To experience and to enjoy the fantastic landscape of the "Trulli Valley", our licensed "cyclo-tourist and environmental guides", will take you through very agreeable bike-excursions, suitable for all ages, to admire the architecture of Alberobello's country-side, as very old dry stone walls and ancient Trulli.

TOUR "VALLEY OF THE TRULLI AND ADRIATIC COAST"

( bike tours guided by our licensed cyclo-tourist guides for individuals and groups ):

1st day:

Meeting with our guides in the main square of Alberobello and visit to the "Capital of the Trulli". After the visit, biking to "Bosco Selva", a very beautiful and green area of Alberobello. After a little break, visit to an oil mill and tasting of typical products with extra virgin olive oil. Leaving the oil mill, will continue biking through "Lo Prete" district ( 3 km track road ), to arrive to "Barsento" and visit the famous Abbey of the VI century (one of the most ancient Abbeys of the region ); little break and return back to the main square of Alberobello.

ROUTE CHARACTERISTICS: about 20 km, far from taffic, very lightly hilly, medium-low difficulty level.

2nd day:

Meeting with our guides in the main square of Alberobello to start to bike to "Coreggia" ( little hamlet at 4 km from Alberobello ), to reach "Canale di Pirro" to appreciate the beauty of kilometres of vineyards, different kinds of orchards and typical farmhouses (masserie). Crossing the "Santa Lucia" district, biking on the "panoramic road" with an unique views of the olives and the sea. Arriving to "Capitolo", ( famous for its free and beautiful beaches with green sea ), little break, to start again from a second different "panoramic road" ( called "Mari e Monti" ), to return to Alberobello. On the way back, break for visit to a typical farmhouse for a nice tasting of typical handmade Apulian bread and homemade marmelades, fresh fruits just picked from the trees and homemade juice fruits.

ROUTE CHARACTERISTICS : 50 km, far from traffic, hilly, mostly flat, medium-high difficulty level.

3rd day:

Meeting with our guides in the main square of Alberobello to bike to "Locorotondo" ( very beautiful and small historical centre ), through the country-side area of the famous "Valle d'Itria", to appreciate the beauty of almonds and cherries orchards, vineyards, olives groves and ancient Trulli. Leaving Locorotondo, arrival at "San Marco", little hamlet at 4 km from Locorotondo, delicious visit to a cheese factory of the area. After a little break, bike tour of "Monte del Sale" district ( 2 km of track road ), to discover the oldest and most beautiful Trulli area of Alberobello. On the way back, break for visit to a wine cellar to taste very good genuine wines and other specialities.

ROUTE CHARACTERISTICS: 31 km, hilly and flat, medium difficulty level.
